Maxcrete 622 Self-Leveling Mortar is commonly used in the following applications:
Leveling and creating an even concrete floor surface before installing vinyl flooring, epoxy paint, carpeting, ceramic tiles, and wood flooring.
Repairing and leveling old, uneven floor surfaces.
Preparing subfloors for interior projects requiring high flatness and aesthetics.
Step 1 – Surface Preparation:
Concrete surface must be at least 14 days old, and screed must be 7 days old.
Clean off oil, grease, dust, and excess cement mortar. Dampen the subfloor and remove any standing water before pouring.
Erect sturdy formwork, ensuring it is watertight.
Step 2 – Mixing:
Pour 5 liters of clean water into a bucket, then gradually add 25 kg of Maxcrete 622 powder.
Use an electric mixer at 500 rpm, keeping the paddle close to the bottom, and mix for 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth, homogeneous, and lump-free.
If a thickness greater than 5mm is required, clean, dry aggregate of 1-3mm size can be added after mixing the mortar.
Step 3 – Pouring:
Pour or pump the mortar immediately after mixing. Apply continuously to avoid cold joints.
Use a spiked roller to roll back and forth to remove air bubbles, resulting in a smoother surface.
Recommended application thickness: 2–5 mm.
Step 4 – Curing:
Protect the surface from sun, wind, dust, and rain.
Light foot traffic is possible after 24 hours. Tile installation after 72 hours, vinyl/carpet/wood flooring installation after 7 days.
